What I did: Today I focused on starting and finishing the turnaround for the older version of Charlie, when he's 85. The reason why I started to now was because me and my teammate have started creating for thumbnails for the final act of the animation and it focuses on the old version of Charlie, I thought it would be best if I focused on creating the young version of Charlie and Todd for when doing the first two acts. However, I am not sure if I would have taken less time if I did all the characters and turnarounds at the same time, nonetheless, I manged to create this turnaround much faster than the other two. The reason why is that I copied the shape of young Charlie and then altered it to show that he had gotten older, examples would be that he has shrunk somewhat in his old age, wrinkles and his hair is gone only leaving the outline. I am pleased with the quality and also how fast I was able to finish the turnaround. Also, I changed the look and the reason why was to fit the overall style of the animation and concepts my teammate have created. My teammate's concepts have a heavy outline and my turnarounds for Todd and young Charlie didn't, so I wanted to add that for this one.
I also aimed to use what I learnt from masterclass with the anatomy of the arm to help me shape it better. This knowledge helped me in realising the shape and create a proportionate arm that I am pleased with.
After this I went onto creating thumbnails for the third act, I made sure to learn from my past mistakes and not go into too much detail since that would take up time. I believe that I have improved on being able to sketch out facial expressions and will keep working on this in the future. If I was working on a thumbnail and I didn't know how to approach it I would search up some reference and then draw the thumbnail, this sped up my workflow a lot and allowed me to create multiple thumbnails.
