Date: 17/01/2019
Hours: 9am-10am, 2pm-4pm, 9pm-10pm (5 hours)
What I did: Today I focused on learning more about camera techniques, the reason why is because to get a better understanding of how to use shots effectively to convey a story without words. I looked at the rule of thirds to create a nice image to look at and to create interest that will draw the eye. I also created moodboards of camera angles that inspired me, this would be useful in the future for reference. I felt that I was successful in using what I learnt and applying it to my work, with the sketches for the storyboard I've created so far I was able to convey the sense of seclusion with Charlie and also use the rule of third to place him in a place that would be appealing to the eye.
I also felt that I communicated with my team much stronger than I did yesterday, I constantly asked questions to know what direction I should go in and that allowed my work to be much more focused. I will continue to ask questions in the future of this project.
In the next day I will deep further into the storyboard and look at more references for possible camera angles I could use, whilst also communicating with my team if the direction I'm going in suits their goals too.
